Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba established numerous records in Saturday's 48-45 Rose Bowl win over Utah, including a new high for receiving yards in a bowl game.

Smith-Njigba's 347 yards eclipsed the previous record of 308 set by Jason Rivers in the 2006 Hawaii Bowl. He surpassed Rivers' total with a terrific touchdown grab in the fourth quarter.

The wideout shattered the Ohio State single-game record for most receiving yards, surpassing Terry Glenn, who had taken the top spot with 253 yards in 1994.

Smith-Njigba also broke the Buckeyes' single-season record for receptions and receiving yards. His 95 catches eclipsed Parris Campbell's 90 in 2018, while his 1,606 yards bested David Boston's 1998 feat of 1,435 yards.

The sophomore blew away the record for most receiving yards in Rose Bowl history. The previous high was set by former USC receiver Keyshawn Johnson in 1996 when he recorded 212 yards.

Smith-Njigba entered the matchup with 80 receptions for 1,259 yards and six scores.
