No. 2-ranked RB Robinson commits to Georgia
Four-star running back Branson Robinson committed to Georgia on Thursday, according to 247Sports' Andrew Ivins.
Robinson is considered the second-ranked running back and top overall prospect from the state of Mississippi in the 2022 class, according to the ESPN 300 list.
The Germantown High School product chose the Bulldogs over offers from Clemson, LSU, and Mississippi State.
"It's the best situation for me," Robinson said. "I love to compete, and I feel like, at Georgia, I have a good chance to compete for a starting position and play early and contribute to the team and also impact the team.
"I just want to be one of the next great running backs to come out of a long line of great running backs coming out of Georgia."
Robinson becomes the ninth top-300 commit for coach Kirby Smart, and he's also the highest-ranked pledge in the 2022 class.
