Georgia is welcoming new weapons on both sides of the ball.

Former Clemson cornerback Derion Kendrick is transferring to the Bulldogs, reports Rusty Mansell of 247Sports.

Georgia has also landed former five-star tight end Arik Gilbert, he announced Tuesday, according to Mansell.

Kendrick spent the last three seasons with the Tigers, who announced in February that the first-team All-ACC corner was no longer with the team due to undisclosed reasons.

Kendrick, who missed parts of the 2020 campaign due to disciplinary issues, amassed 61 tackles, three interceptions, and six pass breakups through 22 appearances over the last two seasons. He'll join a Bulldogs secondary that lost two top cornerbacks to this year's NFL draft in Eric Stokes and Tyson Campbell.

Gilbert initially committed to LSU in 2019. He transferred to Florida last January after opting out of the 2020 campaign but decommitted just weeks later.

The 6-foot-6, 255-pounder was the top tight end of the 2020 class and the No. 12 overall recruit on the ESPN 300.

"Coming home, I believe it was a smart decision to come home. I wanted to be with and near my family," Gilbert said. "I have been missing all of (my) family, and now both of my grandmothers will be able to see me play in person too."

The native of Marietta, Georgia, is the second former five-star tight end at Georgia, joining Darnell Washington.
