Wide receiver Justyn Ross announced Thursday he'll return to Clemson for his senior season.

Ross was initially projected to be the top wide receiver in the 2021 NFL Draft before he missed the entire 2020 campaign due to a congenital fusion in his spine. He underwent surgery in June.

The star wideout led Clemson with 1,000 receiving yards as a freshman in 2018 and then topped the team with 66 receptions in 2019. He's racked up 112 catches for 1,865 yards and 17 touchdowns over 28 games with the Tigers.

Ross' return is a significant boost for Clemson, as the team has lost its top two pass-catchers in 2020 - Amari Rodgers and Cornell Powell - to graduation.

The Tigers have also lost star quarterback Trevor Lawrence to the NFL draft. DJ Uiagalelei will likely replace Lawrence in the upcoming season.
