4-star CB Ceyair Wright commits to USC
USC picked up another local prospect on Saturday when Loyola High School cornerback Ceyair Wright announced his commitment to the Trojans during the "All-American Bowl: Declaration Day” broadcast.
Wright chose USC over offers from Notre Dame, Michigan, and Oregon.
The 6-foot, 175-pound talent is the sixth-best cornerback and ninth-ranked prospect in the state of California, according to ESPN. The Los Angeles native is also noted for his speed in the 100-meter dash during his high school career.
The addition of Wright provides the Trojans with their second blue-chip defensive back signing along with safety/athlete Anthony Beavers. Head coach Clay Helton continues to make recruiting in the Golden State a priority, gaining his 11th commitment from the area.
USC now adds to its cornerback group that features standout Chris Steele.
The Trojans finished this past season with a 5-1 record before opting out of a prospective bowl game due to the coronavirus pandemic.
