Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott isn't available for Friday's Sugar Bowl against Ohio State due to COVID-19 protocols, according to ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.
Elliott will not travel with the team to New Orleans for the College Football Playoff semifinal.
Clemson did not confirm Wednesday if Elliott tested positive for the virus.
Head coach Dabo Swinney is expected to announce Thursday who will take over play-calling duties against the Buckeyes.
Clemson quarterbacks coach Brandon Streeter and wide receivers coach Tyler Grisham are among the possible candidates to fill in for Elliott.
The 41-year-old Elliott has been a Tigers coach since 2011 and currently serves as running backs coach along with being the offensive coordinator. He was part of two national championship teams (2016, 2018) and won the 2017 Broyles Award as the nation's top assistant coach.
Clemson owns the third-best scoring offense in the nation, averaging 44.9 points per game.
