It doesn't sound like LSU is going to get Myles Brennan back this season.
Head coach Ed Orgeron told reporters Wednesday that injuries to Brennan's hip and abdomen region will likely keep the quarterback out for the remainder of the year.
"We haven't made a final decision, but it doesn't look like he's going to be back unless some miraculous thing happens," Orgeron said, according to AL's Matt Zenitz.
Orgeron added surgery could also be on the table for the ailing junior, according to Brooks Kupena of The Advocate.
Brennan played in the first three games of the season for the Tigers, throwing 11 touchdown passes and three interceptions.
TJ Finley started LSU's previous two games, offering a mixed bag of results. The freshman signal-caller threw two touchdown passes in a victory over South Carolina but struggled against Auburn, throwing two interceptions in a 48-11 loss.
Max Johnson has also made an appearance under center, throwing one touchdown pass after relieving Finley against Auburn.
LSU was scheduled to take on Alabama Saturday but the SEC postponed the contest due to COVID-19 issues within the Tigers' football program.
