Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney made a light-hearted prediction about Trevor Lawrence's future NFL destination during his Tuesday press conference.

When Swinney was asked about Lawrence's celebratory spike after a score against Miami, he said the quarterback apologized and expressed that the move had no place at Clemson - but Lawrence would be free to do as he pleases in New York.

"When he gets to New York or wherever y’all think he’s going, he can spike the ball and go do whatever he wants to do. But not here," Swinney said, according to The Athletic's Grace Raynor.

The New York Jets and New York Giants are both in prime positions to pick first overall in next year's draft. Both teams have failed to win a game this season and sit at the bottom of the NFL standings, along with the 0-5 Atlanta Falcons.

The Clemson sideline boss went on to praise the 21-year-old, noting he is the perfect package for NFL teams scouting his services.

"There’s nothing that you could desire in a quarterback that’s not there," Swinney said, per Raynor.

The Heisman candidate is off to another terrific start this season, throwing 10 touchdowns and no interceptions. He is expected to be one of the top picks in next year's draft.
