Saturday's game between Missouri and Vanderbilt is postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests within the Commodores' program, the SEC announced Monday.

It marks the first time this season an SEC game is postponed by the coronavirus.

"The Vanderbilt at Missouri FB game of Oct. 17 is postponed due to positive tests and subsequent quarantine of individuals within the Vanderbilt FB program," the SEC said in a statement. "The action is consistent with SEC COVID-19 management requirements. The game is tentatively rescheduled for Dec. 12."

Vanderbilt played with 56 scholarship players in its 41-7 road loss to South Carolina due to a combination of positive COVID-19 tests and injuries. The minimum roster threshold to play a game this season is 53 scholarship players available on game day.

Missouri has been impacted by the pandemic recently as well. The Tigers were down seven players against LSU due to the coronavirus and contact tracing. Among those out of action were starting wide receivers Damon Hazelton and Keke Chism.
