Colorado's Shenault declares for 2020 NFL Draft

Colorado wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. will forgo his senior season and enter the 2020 NFL Draft, the school announced Tuesday.

The 6-foot-2 pass-catcher projects as a potential first-round pick.

"Laviska Shenault represented our relentless culture and was one of the most dynamic, dominant and versatile players that I have ever coached," said Buffaloes head coach Mel Tucker. "He embodies the true 'show me, don't tell me' competitive spirit. I look forward to watching him develop and compete at the elite level and thank him for his contributions on and off the field."

Shenault was one of the top receivers at picking up yards after the catch over his career in Boulder. He moved the chains or scored a touchdown on 107 of his 191 career touches.

The native Texan wrapped up his junior campaign with 56 receptions for 764 yards and four touchdowns while battling through injuries. As a sophomore, he posted 86 catches for 1,011 yards and six touchdowns.

Shenault is only the 10th player in Colorado history to declare for the NFL draft early.
