MIAMI (AP) Authorities say two Texas A&M University-Commerce football players are recovering in a Florida hospital after being shot during a robbery.

A Miami police statement says the robbery occurred Saturday morning. The school identified the players as redshirt junior linebackers Jay Bias and Xavier Morris.

A statement from the university says Bias and Morris were in Miami for spring break. The team's head coach and the school's athletic director were heading to Florida to be with the players and their families.

Police released few details about the shooting. It wasn't clear where the robbery took place, and no arrests have been reported.

Texas A&M University-Commerce is a NCAA Division II school in the Lone Star Conference. The football team went 10-3 this past season.
