Despite bringing in a number of highly touted recruits on signing day, Florida is down one wide receiver as C.J. Worton has left the program.
A school official confirmed to Edward Aschoff of ESPN that Worton is indeed no longer with the program, and his biography has been removed from the team's official website.
Worton later released a statement, saying that there was no negativity behind his decision and that he will look to continue his college football career elsewhere.
A veteran of three seasons with the Gators, Worton was used mostly in a reserve role. The product of Homestead, Fla., caught 10 passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns over his career at Florida.
