Asa Montgomery, the No. 7 overall prospect in the ESPN 100 for 2027, announced his commitment to Duke on Wednesday.
The five-star recruit chose the Blue Devils after visiting LSU, Georgia Tech, UConn, and North Carolina.
Montgomery is the third-ranked small forward in next year's recruiting class.
"The Duke visit had a different feeling," Montgomery told ESPN's Jeff Borzello and Paul Biancardi. "Everything felt right. It was a dream school for me since I was 8 years old.
"I wanted to go to Duke and actually play for Coach K. Coach Jon Scheyer kept it real with me from Day 1. Duke wins, and I can trust him."
Montgomery represented Team USA at last summer's FIBA U17 World Cup. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 9.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per contest.
Montgomery is expected to be a one-and-done prospect.
In June, Duke landed 2027 five-star recruit Kager Knueppel, whose older brother is Charlotte Hornets forward Kon Knueppel.
The Blue Devils are also in the mix for No. 1 overall recruit Beckham Black and fifth-ranked prospect AJ Williams.
