Oregon was also reportedly in the mix for Stokes before being eliminated from the sweepstakes in the hours leading up to the five-star prospect's decision.
Stokes joins a loaded Jayhawks recruiting class that features fellow five-star prospect Taylen Kinney as well as four-star recruits Davion Adkins, Trent Perry, and Luke Barnett.
Stokes was a McDonald's All-American and the MVP of this year's Jordan Brand Classic.
The 6-foot-7 forward represented the United States at last year's FIBA U19 World Cup, averaging 9.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. He was the first American and sixth player overall in tournament history to register a triple-double.
Kansas went 24-11 during the 2025-26 campaign before exiting the NCAA Tournament in the Round of 32.
