Michigan's Cadeau agrees to deal to return for senior year
Guard Elliot Cadeau has agreed to a deal to return to Michigan for his senior year, he told ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Cadeau was named the Final Four's Most Outstanding Player after helping lead the Wolverines to their first national title since 1989.
The 21-year-old scored a game-high 19 points while adding 3 rebounds and 2 assists to secure a 69-63 victory over UConn. He also dropped 13 points and 10 assists in a dominant win against Arizona in the semifinals.
Cadeau started 40 games in his first season at Michigan after transferring from North Carolina. He averaged 10.5 points and 5.9 assists while shooting 41.1% from the field during the 2025-26 campaign.
The guard's confirmed return to the Wolverines comes the same day they secured former Tennessee forward J.P. Estrella in the transfer portal. Michigan also received a commitment last week from five-star guard Brandon McCoy, a top 20 recruit in the 2026 class.
