BYU star AJ Dybantsa scored 43 points in a 91-78 win over Utah on Saturday, breaking Danny Ainge's school record for the most points by a freshman in a game.

Dybantsa went 15-of-24 from the field and 4-of-5 from deep to improve the Cougars' record to 17-2 this season. He added six rebounds, three assists, and a block in 36 minutes.

Rob Wright III recorded 21 points and Richie Saunders added 12 to help No. 13 BYU rebound from an 84-71 loss to Texas Tech last week.

Keanu Dawes and Terrence Brown led the Utes with 23 and 22 points, respectively, with each hitting four threes.

The win keeps the Cougars one-and-a-half games behind No. 1 Arizona in the Big 12. The two teams will lock horns Monday in Utah.
