Five-star center Derik Queen has committed to Maryland, he told ESPN's Paul Biancardi on Wednesday.
Queen chose Maryland over Houston, Indiana, and Kansas. He's the No. 10 recruit in the Class of 2024 and was the highest-ranked uncommitted player.
A native of Maryland, Queen is the first five-star recruit to commit to the Terrapins since Jalen Smith in 2018.
"It's home. The fans have always been great," Queen said.
The 6-foot-9 center currently plays for Montverde Academy alongside fellow five-star recruits Cooper Flagg, Liam McNeeley, and Asa Newell.
