Texas' Disu out for Elite Eight tilt vs. Miami with foot injury
Texas forward Dylan Disu will miss Sunday's Elite Eight contest against Miami with a foot injury, the team announced, according to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.
Disu played just two minutes in the Longhorns' win against Xavier due to the ailment. He averaged 23.5 points per contest over the first two games of the NCAA Tournament.
The Vanderbilt transfer was the team's breakout star in its Round of 32 victory over Penn State, scoring a game- and season-high 28 points on 14-of-20 shooting from the field.
Reserve big man Christian Bishop stepped up with Disu limited against Xavier, contributing 18 points and nine rebounds in 24 minutes. He'll be needed once again to battle with Hurricanes forward Norchad Omier.
The Longhorns are searching for their first Final Four appearance since 2003.
