2020 Maui Invitational moved to Asheville
The Maui Invitational is the latest early-season college basketball event on the move.
This year's event location is Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina, the tournament announced Friday. Games will take place from Nov. 30th to Dec. 2nd, CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein reports.
The 2020 Maui Invitational will feature North Carolina, Indiana, Texas, Providence, Alabama, Stanford, UNLV, and Davidson.
Kansas won last year's competition with a thrilling overtime victory over Dayton.
The season-opening Champions Classic and Battle 4 Atlantis are reportedly among numerous marquee events that have been temporarily relocated due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The NCAA recently selected Nov. 25 as the official start date for the 2020-21 campaign.
