Iowa star Luka Garza has declared for the 2020 NBA Draft, he announced Friday on social media.

The Wooden Award finalist will maintain his college eligibility throughout the draft process.

Garza was the fifth-highest scorer in the nation with 23.9 points per game and ranked fourth in the Big Ten with an average of 9.8 boards. He was also an AP All-American and the Big Ten Player of the Year.

"Luka was one of the top players in the country last season and going through the NBA draft process is something that he should absolutely do," Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery said in a statement. "We fully support Luka in the pursuit of his professional goals. This process is extremely valuable in gathering information from NBA personnel. My staff and I look forward to supporting Luka throughout the process."

Underclassmen can maintain their remaining NCAA eligibility if they withdraw from the draft process by June 3, though that deadline is tied to the draft's originally scheduled date of June 25.

The 21-year-old led Iowa to a 20-11 overall record, including an 11-9 mark in conference play.
