Columbia grad transfer Patrick Tape has committed to play his senior year with the Duke Blue Devils, he told CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein on Tuesday.
Tape will be eligible to play immediately next season.
"It was really just being close to home and having my family come see me, the excellent tradition they have there, and the opportunity to play for the best coach of all time," Tape said regarding his decision to join Duke, according to ESPN's Jeff Borzello.
The 6-foot-10 forward elected to sit out this past season because of a toe injury and his desire to transfer, Stadium's Jeff Goodman notes.
Tape averaged 11.3 points and 5.9 rebounds in 27 games as a junior during the 2018-19 campaign.
