Shareef O'Neal announced he's heading to his father's alma mater.
The former UCLA redshirt freshman told Sports Illustrated's Robin Lundberg on Friday that he is transferring to LSU.
The 20-year-old son of Shaquille O'Neal announced in January that he was leaving UCLA after head coach Mick Cronin benched him in five early-season games.
He averaged 2.2 points in 13 contests. The former top-50 recruit sat out all of 2018-19 as a medical redshirt due to a heart condition.
Shaq starred at LSU from 1989-92.
