Gonzaga announced freshman forward Anton Watson will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery, according to Jeff Goodman of Stadium.

"Anton is one of the toughest guys I've coached," Bulldogs head coach Mark Few said, per Rob Jesselson of SWX. "He's battled through a lot because he cares about this team. This is the right thing to do moving forward for his career, and he has a bright future with our program."

Gonzaga was weighing various options in regards to Watson's shoulder, according to Jim Meehan of The Spokesman-Review. The 19-year-old has sustained multiple dislocations this season, the most recent coming against Loyola Marymount on Saturday.

Watson started five games this season for Gonzaga. He averaged 4.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 15 contests.
