Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann has suspended Duane Washington Jr. and Luther Muhammad for Tuesday's game against Nebraska due to "a failure to meet program standards and expectations," according to The Athletic's Bill Landis.

Holtmann did not specify which benchmarks the two sophomore guards failed to meet. However, their suspensions could extend beyond Tuesday's contest, reports The Columbus Dispatch's Adam Jardy.

Washington ranks second in team scoring at 10.7 points per game. Muhammad is averaging 6.5 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 16 contests this season.

The Buckeyes enter Tuesday's matchup against the Cornhuskers having lost four straight after starting the year 11-1.
