Kansas issued an apparent shot to the NCAA during its 35th annual "Late Night in the Phog" festivities Friday evening.
Featured performer and rap icon Snoop Dogg stepped onto the court at Allen Fieldhouse in an Adidas Jayhawks jersey surrounded by pole dancers.
Kansas' storied basketball program and head coach Bill Self were recently served a notice of allegations from the NCAA in connection with the ongoing corruption scandal in college basketball.
Last October, former Adidas employee T.J. Gassnola admitted he made cash payments to associates of players Billy Preston and Silvio De Sousa, apparently swaying their decisions to commit to Adidas-affiliated Kansas.
In addition, a promotional video for the school's annual event featured Self rocking an Adidas basketball shirt and a chain with the "$" sign.
The dancers were apparently in reference to the three alleged NCAA violations facing Georgia Tech.
In 2016, then-assistant coach Darryl LaBarrie allegedly took a high school recruit and a then-current Georgia Tech player to a strip club, where a Yellow Jackets booster supplied the players with $300 in cash.
Snoop Dogg's performance also saw the musician shoot money into the crowd days after the signing of California's Fair Pay to Play Act, which will allow NCAA players in the state to profit off their own images and likenesses starting in 2023.
