Four-star recruit Justin Lewis verbally committed to Marquette, he told 247Sports' Evan Daniels on Wednesday.

The Baltimore native was the 59th-ranked prospect in ESPN's Class of 2020 and received interest from multiple schools, including UConn and Virginia Tech.

"I picked Marquette because when I went on my visit I liked it," Lewis said. "I loved it. At first I was second-guessing it, as far as distance, because it was far in Milwaukee, but after I went on the visit I had fun. I got to know the guys a little bit, see how the program is, and it changed my whole mindset about the place."

Lewis thrived on the Nike EYBL circuit, averaging 18.3 points and 9.4 boards per contest.

The 6-foot-8 forward led his high school to three straight Maryland state championships and is currently attending USA Basketball's junior national team minicamp.

Lewis is the Golden Eagles' first commit in next year's class.
