Top-ranked 2019 prospect James Wiseman committed to the University of Memphis on Tuesday, he announced on ESPN.
The 7-foot native of Bluff City also received offers from Kansas, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Florida State. His commitment is a significant recruiting coup for Tigers head coach Penny Hardaway.
Wiseman profiles as a dominant post player whose wingspan was measured at 7-foot-4 last year.
