The original story by GoLocalProv claimed that Rams athletic director Thorr Bjorn offered Pitino the job vacated by Dan Hurley's departure for Connecticut, but that university president David Dooley killed the deal.
Pitino wants to get back into coaching after being fired by Louisville, and has said he doesn't care what level it's at. In the meantime, he's reportedly been offered a position in New Zealand.
