Houston's DeJon Jarreau: Will transfer to Houston
Jarreau will transfer to Houston from Massachusettes, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis:
Jarreau had a strong freshman year, posting 9.8 points, 4.5 assists, 3.6 boards and 1.0 steal across 24.4 minutes per game. Though he hasn't given any sort of reason for the transfer, it's likely related to his role/workload at Massachusettes. He'll be joined by Brison Gresham in a "package deal" -- the two have been teammates since high school. Jarreau, due to NCAA rules and regulations, will have to sit out a year before taking the floor for Houston. He intends to spend one season at junior college to clear up academic issues in the meantime.
