Kentucky commits Monk, Fox show out at Jordan Brand Classic
To any Kentucky fans worried about losing Tyler Ulis and Jamal Murray to the NBA, let us introduce you to Malik Monk and De'Aaron Fox.
It certainly will be tough to replace arguably the nation's top backcourt from last season, but the pair of five-star recruits showed Wildcat fans what to expect next year in the Jordan Brand High School Classic Friday.
First, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard put on an acrobatic display with a massive one-handed smash.
The eighth-ranked recruit in the country wasn't done showing off the hops there, catching a breathtaking reverse alley-oop later in the contest.
Monk isn't the only leaper though, as Fox got in on the aerial party with a massive windmill.
Both players showed off some impressive range as well, with Monk banging home a deep triple.
Fox opted for the step-back variety to highlight his lethal stroke in transition.
The two future Kentucky teammates were named co-MVPs of the contest, and provide further proof that John Calipari is a recruiting legend. Don't be surprised if Kentucky is yet again near the top of the rankings next season.
