The Miami Heat have been without the services of defensive stalwart Hassan Whiteside for the past six games.
On Wednesday, the 7-foot center vowed to return to the court as his team prepares to play the Dallas Mavericks.
Whiteside, 26, had been sidelined with an oblique injury since having to exit a Jan. 20 contest versus the Washington Wizards.
Whiteside is averaging 12.3 points, 11.2 rebounds, and a league-leading 3.9 blocks.
The Heat went 4-2 in his absence.
