Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will not be fined or suspended for his actions that led to an ejection against the Golden State Warriors on Monday, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports.
Cousins was ejected with 8:57 remaining in the third quarter for a second technical after being called for his fifth personal foul on a Steph Curry layup. The center was dismissed from the game after irately charging at an official; he had to be restrained by teammate Rudy Gay.
The 24-year-old has been ejected seven times since the 2012-13 season, picking up 53 technicals in the process.
The news comes as a bit of a surprise, as even Sacramento general manager Vlade Divac expected the league to suspend the Kings center for his tirade.
Cousins is averaging 24.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 blocks in 32.5 minutes per game this season, with the Kings performing 8.6 points per 100 possessions better when the All-Star big man is on the court.
