Tim Duncan has attempted some 23,000 field goals in his storied, 19-year NBA career. We'd wager few have been as ugly as the one he hoisted against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.
It started like so many successful Duncan plays have started. He was camped out in his favorite spot, facing up Meyers Leonard on the left block. You knew what was coming. He let fly one of his patented bank shots ... only, it found the wrong part of the backboard.
