Warriors set NBA record with 16-0 start after rolling over Lakers
The Golden State Warriors are officially off to the best start in NBA history, becoming the first team to begin a season 16-0 after demolishing the Los Angeles Lakers, 111-77 on Tuesday.
In addition to the record start, the Warriors now have 20 straight regular season wins dating back to last season. The NBA record for consecutive wins is 33, by the 1971-72 Lakers.
Stephen Curry led the way for the Dubs with 24 points and nine assists. Draymond Green added 18 points, seven boards, and five dimes. The Warriors as a team shot 49 percent in the game. Even their fans were hitting big shots.

Opposite the Warriors' dominance was the Lakers' ineptitude. A day after defending the team's Kobe Bryant-isolation-heavy offensive sets, coach Bryon Scott's tactics bore this nugget:

It was a historically bad game for Bryant, who sat the entire fourth quarter after shooting 1-of-14 - his only basket a three-pointer 1:46 into the second quarter. He finished with three turnovers and four points.
