Here are theScore's power forward value rankings for Wednesday, October 28:
Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C
| # | Name | Opponent | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Chris Bosh (MIA) | vs. CHA | Low |
| 2 | Anthony Davis (NO) | at POR | Low |
| 3 | Pau Gasol (CHI) | at BKN | Low |
| 4 | Derrick Favors (UTA) | at DET | Low |
| 5 | Blake Griffin (LAC) | at SAC | Low |
Bosh is underpriced because of injury concerns, but all signs point to good health. He's ramped up to full minutes and not showing any ill effects. Charlotte doesn't provide a scary opponent, either. Same goes for Portland against the best PF in the game. Davis is ranked second because he costs far more than Bosh, but he is a lock.
Gasol, like Bosh, is older and inexpensive relative to the position. He has the starting gig in Chicago and remains a steady DFS play. Favors should continue to build on his last two seasons as he emerges into a double-double threat every night. Griffin is a rock, though a tad overpriced.
| # | Name | Opponent | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | Kevin Love (CLE) | at MEM | Low |
| 7 | LaMarcus Aldridge (SA) | at OKC | Low |
| 8 | Kenneth Faried (DEN) | at HOU | Low |
| 9 | Serge Ibaka (OKC) | vs. SA | Medium |
| 10 | Nerlens Noel (PHI) | at BOS | Medium |
| 11 | Markieff Morris (PHO) | vs. DAL | Medium |
| 12 | Nikola Mirotic (CHI) | at BKN | Medium |
| 13 | Dirk Nowitzki (DAL) | at PHO | Medium |
| 14 | Terrence Jones (HOU) | vs. DEN | Medium |
| 15 | Zach Randolph (MEM) | vs. CLE | Medium |
| 16 | Ersan Ilyasova (DET) | vs. UTA | Medium |
| 17 | Thaddeus Young (BKN) | vs. CHI | Medium |
| 18 | Julius Randle (LAL) | vs. MIN | Medium |
| 19 | Khris Humphries (WAS) | at ORL | Medium |
| 20 | Kevin Garnett (MIN) | at LAL | Medium |
Aldridge's role and usage should remain consistent with the Spurs, especially early on. Faried looks to crush it in the Nuggets' front court and is a legitimate case for regular double-doubles between points and boards. Nowitzki and Garnett are older, and thus should be handled with uncertainty in the first few weeks. The same goes for the intriguing Randle returning from a big injury.
| # | Name | Opponent | Risk |

| 21 | Aaron Gordon (ORL) | vs. WAS | High |
| 22 | Josh Smith (LAC) | at SAC | High |
| 23 | Cody Zeller (CHA) | at MIA | High |
| 24 | Kristaps Porzingis (NY) | at MIL | High |
| 25 | Ryan Anderson (NO) | at POR | High |
| 26 | Tristan Thompson (CLE) | at MEM | High |
| 27 | David Lee (BOS) | vs. PHI | High |
| 28 | Luis Scola (TOR) | vs. IND | High |
| 29 | Amir Johnson (BOS) | vs. PHI | High |
| 30 | Nene Hilario (WAS) | at ORL | High |
| 31 | Brandan Wright (MEM) | vs. CLE | High |
| 32 | Marvin Williams (CHA) | at MIA | High |
| 33 | Taj Gibson (CHI) | at BKN | High |
| 34 | Channing Frye (ORL) | vs. WAS | High |
| 35 | Patrick Patterson (TOR) | vs. IND | High |
Porzingis will have growing pains in his first season. He should have a decent debut against Milwaukee's dubious defense. Gibson managed 10 boards against the Cavs on opening night but also notched six personal fouls, which won't help his floor time.
Patterson may have lost his starting job to Scola in Toronto, but he will still get minutes off the bench. Boston's front court is surrounded by uncertainty. Someone will play, and the early consensus seems to be on Lee followed by Johnson.
