The Chicago Bulls added a pair of names to their training camp roster on short notice Monday.

The team announced Marcus Simmons and Jake Anderson will be in camp with the team, pushing the roster to 18 players. The team only has 13 guaranteed contracts, so a pair of roster spots are ostensibly up for grabs should the Bulls opt to carry a full roster into the regular season.

Neither signing has really been on the NBA radar, but teams need bodies for camp, and there are always a couple of surprise performances.

Simmons is a 27-year-old shooting guard out of USC who spent last season in the D-League. He averaged four points and 2.7 rebounds in 16.7 minutes, shooting 40.8 percent from the floor and 28.8 percent from long range.

Anderson, meanwhile, is a Northern Illinois and Iowa State product who went undrafted in 2009. The 28-year-old point guard was with the Bulls for summer league in 2012 after spending 2011-12 in the D-League.
