The annual NBA Rookie Photo Shoot last Saturday - delightful as it was - wasn't solely designed to get the 2015 draft class in front of the camera.
The first-year players also had to dish on the rest of their class for the league's rookie survey, answering questions ranging from who'll win the 2016 NBA Rookie of the Year award to who has the best comedic chops.
Jahlil Okafor of the Philadelphia 76ers has his fair share of supporters: He was voted most likely to take home this year's hardware, as well as tabbed to have the most successful career. In fact, the Duke product received nearly twice as many votes for his long-term potential as the draft's No. 1 and 2 picks combined.
Here are some other highlights from the survey:
- Okafor received 41.9 percent of the votes for Rookie of the Year. That's 22.5 percentage points higher than Detroit Pistons forward Stanley Johnson, who finished second.
- First overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves got 12.9 percent of the votes, while point guards Emmanuel Mudiay and D'Angelo Russell each had 9.7.
- Picking the rookie who will have the best career produced a tighter race. Okafor beat out Towns, with the two grabbing 24.1 and 17.2 percent of the votes respectively.
- Joseph Young, who went 43rd overall to the Indiana Pacers, is considered the draft's biggest steal by his peers. The 23-year-old led the Orlando Summer League in scoring at 22.5 points per game.
- The Kevin Durant fan club apparently has a few more members, as the four-time scoring champion was named the rookies' favorite player for a second year in a row.
- Brooklyn Nets swingman Rondae Hollis-Jefferson knows how to get a chuckle out of the rooks, taking 44.3 percent of the votes for funniest player. The returns on his dancing are another story, though.
