Wizards' Gortat fined $5K for 2nd flopping violation
Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat has been (Polish) hamming it up, and was consequently hit with his second flopping violation of the season and a $5,000 fine from the league.
The latest flop occurred during Wednesday night's game against the Utah Jazz, when Gortat sold the hell out of a loose-ball "foul" under the basket by Jazz guard Rodney Hood.
As often happens in these situations, Gortat, by virtue of being several inches taller and a few dozen pounds heavier than Hood, was given the benefit of the doubt, and Hood was whistled for a foul.
Given that it was a three-point game with less than five minutes to play, in a contest the Wizards ultimately won by four, the five grand shouldn't be too tough for Gortat to swallow.
5k!!!??? Damnnnn.... ?? got that win!!! Thats all I care about!!
