Brook Lopez wants to play a wookiee in next Star Wars movie
If nothing else, the Lopez twins have been been delightfully weird in their six seasons in the NBA.
Portland Trail Blazers center Robin Lopez is a noted sketch artist and bitter enemy to mascots everywhere.
His brother, Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez, is known for his affinity for comics and science fiction - interests he reaffirmed with reporters on Monday morning.
As relayed by Fred Katz of ESPN's Clipperblog, Lopez openly pined for an acting gig in the upcoming Star Wars movies.
"Okay, but seriously, though: We're going to take that question - and I would really like to get a part, like a walk-on part, in the next Star Wars movie," Lopez told Katz.
"I'd like to be a wookiee," Lopez continued. "I would really like to be a wookiee. They don't need my ugly face in there. They don't need me acting. I'm not going to blow anything guys. C'mon Mr. (George) Lucas. I just want to be in the movie."
Lopez making a cameo in Star Wars would certainly be amazing, and the 7-footer is the perfect size to play the part of a wookiee, who are estimated to be approximately 6-foot-9 in stature.
