Marc Gasol: Limited By Knee Pain Wednesday
Gasol battled some knee pain during Wednesday's loss to the Rockets, Rob Fischer of WHBQ 87.7 FM reports. He scored eight points and gathered seven rebounds in 25 minutes.
Analysis:
It's too early to push the panic button on Gasol missing time until he gets reassessed by team trainers Thursday, but it's certainly not an encouraging sign after an MCL tear cost him a large portion of the 2013-14 season. The top potential replacement option for Gasol in the lineup would seem to be Kosta Koufos, but he'd provide a huge downgrade for the Grizzlies on both ends of the court. Keep tabs on the Gasol's status over the next couple days, as the hopes of the Grizzlies -- and likely many fantasy teams -- hinge on his health.
