David Lee's return to the Golden State Warriors lineup was short-lived.
Lee made his season debut in Wednesday's victory over the Los Angeles Clippers after missing time with a strained left hamstring. He scored six points in seven minutes, but was then forced to exit after re-aggravating the injury.
On Thursday, head coach Steve Kerr said Lee will not travel with the team on their two-game road trip to Houston and Phoenix.
The Warriors return home for a matchup with the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, but it's not yet clear if Lee will be ready to return by then. He's set to undergo an MRI late Thursday.
Draymond Green has filled Lee's starting power forward spot admirably, averaging 12.5 points and 7.3 rebounds through four games, while providing the type of defensive contribution Lee isn't capable of.
The Warriors haven't looked any worse for wear without Lee, as the team is one of three remaining unbeatens, along with the Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies, and is allowing a league-best 90.5 points per 100 possessions.
