A confusing deal between the Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards and New Orleans Pelicans is now complete, according to a press release.

The principle pieces of the deal sends former Rockets center Omer Asik to the Pelicans, while former Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza goes to Houston in a sign-and-trade. The full details of the move can he seen in the post below.

In executing this complicated deal, the Rockets land themselves a useful piece in Alonzo Gee, whose $3 million deal is unguaranteed, as well as Scotty Hopson. The Wizards, meanwhile, land themselves an $8 million trade exception, while the Pelicans rid themselves of a bit of spare salary.
