Augustin provides the Chicago Bulls, who have lost superstar Derrick Rose for the regular season, with some much-needed depth at the one.
38-year-old backup guard Mike James is working his way from a sprained knee and shooting guard Jimmy Butler is still recovering from a foot injury.
In the 10 games he's played this season, Augustin is 2.1 points and 1.0 assist over 8.2 minutes.
