Thanasis Antetokounmpo, the older brother of new Miami Heat forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, signed a three-year deal with Greek side Aris BC.
The final year is a team option, the club announced.
The 34-year-old Thanasis played in 230 games over the last seven seasons alongside Giannis on the Milwaukee Bucks. After missing the 2024-25 campaign with a torn Achilles, he appeared in 34 games for Milwaukee last season but averaged just 4.4 minutes - the lowest mark of any Bucks player who appeared in at least 10 games in 2025-26.
Giannis was the first Antetokounmpo to depart Milwaukee this summer when he was traded to the Miami Heat in June. His youngest brother, Alex Antetokounmpo, joined the Bucks on a two-way deal in 2025-26 but signed a contract for 2026-27 with Greece's Promitheas Patras.
Aris is based in Thessaloniki and finished fifth in the Greek Basket League in 2025-26. The team competed in the EuroCup last season but did not advance past the group stage.
