The Cleveland Cavaliers are trading veteran point guard Dennis Schroder and cash considerations to the Charlotte Hornets, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Charlotte is reportedly sending point guard Tre Mann to Cleveland in the deal.
Schroder, 32, put up 8.2 points and 4.3 assists per game in 30 appearances last season after the Cavs acquired him from the Sacramento Kings in a February three-team deal. The Hornets will be Schroder's 10th team since the 2021-22 campaign and his 12th overall, one shy of Ish Smith's record 13.
The German guard led his country to gold at the 2023 FIBA World Cup and 2025 EuroBasket, earning MVP in both tournaments.
Mann came off the bench in all but one of his 53 contests last season with the Hornets while averaging 5.5 points. He was drafted 18th overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2021 before being shipped to Charlotte midway through his third NBA campaign.
Schroder will earn $14.8 million next season, but only $4.35 million of his $15.5-million salary for 2027-28 is guaranteed, according to Spotrac. Meanwhile, Mann will make $8 million in 2025-26, with the Cavaliers holding an $8-million team option for the following year.
