The San Antonio Spurs are signing forward Julian Champagnie to a new three-year, $45-million contract, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Champagnie's deal locks him up through the 2028-29 season. The Spurs declined his $3-million team option to sign him to this new contract.
The 25-year-old played a crucial role in San Antonio's playoff run, averaging 11.2 points and 5.7 rebounds as the Spurs made the Finals.
Champagnie made 195 threes last season to break San Antonio's franchise record, which was previously held by Danny Green. He played in all 82 games in the regular season, starting a career-high 68 contests.
Champagnie was waived in February 2023 by the Philadelphia 76ers. The Spurs picked him up two days later.
