The Charlotte Hornets are engaged in trade talks with multiple teams regarding the availability of star guard LaMelo Ball, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors have emerged as two of the clubs interested in Ball, sources told NBA insider Marc Stein.

While the 24-year-old would reportedly like to remain with the Hornets, a trade could come together in the coming days for the talented guard.

Ball signed a five-year contract extension north of $200 million with Charlotte in July 2023.

He averaged 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.1 assists in 72 games during the 2025-26 season.

The Hornets could opt to center the team's core around rising stars Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller if they move on from Ball.
