Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch didn't mince words following Wednesday's blowout loss to the San Antonio Spurs, telling his players, "We just got punked," according to ESPN's Anthony Slater.

While Anthony Edwards thought Finch's description was a bit harsh, he was similarly displeased with the team's effort.

"Punked is crazy," Edwards said. "But, I mean, just look at the film and see what we can gain from it."

Edwards added: "We came out cool. Look what happened. My mama used to tell me that a hard head make a soft ass. That's what happened tonight."

The T-Wolves managed just 35 first-half points, their fewest in the regular season or playoffs. They scored 77.9 points per 100 possession, excluding garbage time, per Cleaning the Glass.

San Antonio smothered Minnesota with its full-court pressure and baited Edwards into poor decisions off double-teams. The Spurs forced 22 turnovers and tallied 19 points off those miscues.

Julius Randle coughed up the ball five times, while Rudy Gobert and Edwards had four turnovers apiece.

"They won by 40," Edwards said. "I would have a lot of belief. ... I tip my hat to those guys. They came out, they played hard, they were the more desperate team, they wanted it. We'll see where it goes from here."

Game 3 tips off Friday at 9:30 p.m. ET in Minnesota.
