Report: Edwards expected to miss multiple weeks with knee injury
Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Anthony Edwards is expected to miss multiple weeks due to a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Test results indicate that Edwards avoided any ligament damage, Charania adds.
Edwards sustained the injury in the second quarter of Saturday's 112-96 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
The 24-year-old landed awkwardly after contesting an attempt from Nuggets forward Cameron Johnson and had to be helped off the court. Edwards did not return to the game.

The Timberwolves are also set to be without Donte DiVincenzo for the remainder of the playoffs after he suffered a torn Achilles tendon in his right leg a little more than a minute into Saturday's game. DiVincenzo is slated for surgery, the team announced.
Edwards is averaging 18.5 points on 35.8% shooting through the opening four games of the first-round series against the Nuggets. The T-Wolves took a 3-1 series lead courtesy of Ayo Dosunmu's career-high 43 points off the bench.
The best-of-seven series resumes Monday in Denver with the Nuggets looking to stave off elimination against the shorthanded T-Wolves.
