Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown was in fine form, leading USA Stripes with 11 points paired with three boards and a block. Three-time All-Star Game MVP LeBron James scored eight points as part of a balanced attack for USA Stripes.
Fox, who is appearing in his second All-Star Game, was a late injury replacement for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Anthony Edwards again led the way for USA Stars with 11 points and three rebounds. Like in Game 1, Edwards again drilled a late 3. Cade Cunningham also scored 11 points to go with three rebounds, four assists, and a block, while Detroit Pistons teammate Jalen Duren dropped seven points.
USA Stripes will play the World team in Game 3, while USA Stars will wait to see if a 1-1 record is good enough to book a spot in the finals.
Game 1
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Edwards led the way as USA Stars took Game 1 over the World team in overtime by a 37-35 scoreline.
Edwards scored 13 points, while Toronto Raptors defensive whiz Scottie Barnes did the dirty work with three points, five boards, two assists, one steal, and a block.
An extra frame was required after Edwards drained a late triple to tie the contest at 32 apiece. Barnes ended it with a 3 in overtime to reach the target score of five.
